This course consists of four sessions: Session 1 explains the relevance of MSMEs to the development of various economies, particularly Ghana. Session 2 explains what MSMEs need funding for and how they can plan for fund raising. It further explains the forms of funding for MSMEs and where MSMEs can obtain funding in Ghana. Session 3 discusses general requirements for MSMEs to access funding comprising financial, non-financial and regulatory requirements. It further discusses specific requirements from various financial institutions such as banks, rural and community banks, savings and loans companies, venture capital funds etc. Finally, Session 4 discusses how MSMEs can better position themselves to attract funding.
